In 2025, Palmetto Bluff welcomed new neighbors and old friends, groundbreakings, and long-awaited openings. From inspired Club gatherings and elevated programming to the creation of our latest golf course, the year was defined by connection and excitement for what is to come. Across Conservancy outings, Artists in Residence workshops, and countless moments shared throughout the property, residents and guests deepened their ties to the Lowcountry and to one another. It was a year marked by growth, gratitude, and the enduring magic of life at the Bluff.
Anson Point
Poised to become a timeless addition to our world-class golf offerings, the new Coore & Crenshaw-designed Anson Point golf course took meaningful shape this year. Thoughtfully integrated into its natural surroundings, with preserved wildlife corridors, native plantings, and no residential development, the course promises a pure and immersive playing experience. We look forward to its highly anticipated opening in early 2026.
SEWE at the Bluff: An Incredible Weekend of Wildlife and Culture
Our inaugural partnership with the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition brought an unforgettable weekend to the Bluff. Guests enjoyed an intimate creekside dinner curated by Chef Rhy Waddington and guest Chef Mark Bolchoz, followed by spirited competition at the Buffalo Blast sporting clays tournament. The Arts Initiative Continues To Inspire
The Arts Initiative concluded another vibrant year, welcoming 11 exceptional artists for workshops, demonstrations, and gallery events at FLOW Gallery + Workshop. This beloved program continues to champion creativity by showcasing a rich range of makers, musicians, chefs, and craftsmen who inspire our community. The launch of the Inspiring the Arts Scholarship further underscored a year of national recognition and meaningful local impact.
The Grove & Growth in Moreland Forest
Nestled within the natural expanse of Moreland Forest, The Grove is approaching a meaningful milestone: only one home remains available in this intimate enclave, offering a final opportunity to join a neighborhood shaped by thoughtful design and an inherent connection to the land. Beyond The Grove, Moreland Forest continues to evolve with the release of new homesites and the promise of future amenities. With the Palmetto Bluff Club Fitness Center at the Citadel and Anson Point on the horizon for 2026, this stretch of the Bluff is emerging as its natural center.
A Calendar Full of Conservancy Experiences and Events
The Conservancy team held and hosted 232 events in 2025, including lectures, nature outings, history and cultural talks, field trips, social gatherings, and more. Residents and visitors enjoyed a wide array of engaging educational programs, from ongoing citizen science projects like FeederWatch to day trips to Onslow Island. The Palmetto Bluff Conservancy offers more than just information. It fosters a deeper understanding of and respect for the land and wildlife that call Palmetto Bluff home.
Palmetto Bluff Gathers Awards for Golf, Culinary, & More
The year brought notable recognition to Palmetto Bluff. Crossroads and the May River Golf Course were honored on Golf Digest’s Best Of lists, with the Wall Street Journal spotlighting Crossroads for its inventive reversible design. Montage Palmetto Bluff earned a place on Travel + Leisure’s World’s 500 Best Hotels and retained its Forbes Five-Star distinctions, including its renowned spa. The Palmetto Bluff Club team was also celebrated as Executive Chef Beth Cosgrove and Director of Special Events Stephanie Sekula were featured in Club + Resort Magazine for their leadership and commitment to exceptional culinary and event experiences.
