SCPARC Herp Blitz at Palmetto Bluff
Join the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy for their semi-annual herp blitz! Not familiar with a “herp blitz?” It’s a biological survey to document the amphibians and reptiles in a specific area quickly. The Conservancy works with the South Carolina Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (SCPARC) to check Palmetto Bluff’s turtle traps, hoop traps, and cover boards.
The two-day survey will occur on Saturday, 9/28, and Sunday, 9/29. Sign up for one of three time slots each day to journey into the woods of Palmetto Bluff for your first herp blitz!
Multiple time slots:
• 8 – 11 am
• 11:30 am – 2 pm
• 8 am – 2 pm (FULL DAY)
Location:
Meet at the Conservancy Shop
70 Laurel Oak Bay Rd,
Bluffton, SC 29910
Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required. Bring water, snacks, and (if you are staying for the full day) lunch.
