At Palmetto Bluff, some of childhood’s best moments begin outside. Days are measured by muddy shoes, saltwater adventures, and the excitement of discovering something new just beyond the next trail.
That spirit is at the heart of PBGO (Palmetto Bluff Growing Outdoors), the Club’s year-round children’s program. Designed for children of all ages, PBGO encourages curiosity, confidence, and connection through experiences that immerse families in the natural beauty and close-knit community of Palmetto Bluff.
“We feel that ‘Growing Outdoors’ really encompasses our ethos. What makes Palmetto Bluff so amazing is the outdoor playground it offers children and their families.”
PBGO Director Lexi Yager

For many families, summer means CampGO.
Each week, children ages 5 to 14 set off on new adventures across the Bluff, exploring the community through hands-on activities that are equal parts recreation and discovery. Campers might spend one day fishing from the docks at Wilson Landing Marina, another learning about local wildlife with the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy, and another harvesting vegetables at The Farm or meeting horses at Longfield Stables.
Every week offers something different. Color Battle transforms campers into teams of vibrant competitors, while PB’s Got Talent Week concludes with a talent show where parents, grandparents, and friends gather to cheer on performers. For older campers, Camp IndiGO introduces even bigger adventures, from tubing, parasailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and paintball to ceramics classes, Paige Island excursions, and go-kart racing.
The summer ends with an overnight retreat for IndiGO campers. This year’s trip takes participants to Orlando for five days filled with visits to Universal Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Aquatica Waterpark, Gatorland, and other memorable experiences that strengthen friendships long after camp ends.
CampGO welcomes a mix of full-time and part-time member families, and members are encouraged to invite visiting friends and relatives to join the fun, making summer at the Bluff an experience shared across generations.
Programs are thoughtfully designed for every stage of childhood:

While CampGO may be the highlight of summer, PBGO is woven into life at Palmetto Bluff throughout the year.
During the school year, themed after-school programs take place every Tuesday and Wednesday, offering children new activities each week while giving parents flexibility after school. Seasonal camps and family events ensure there’s always something to look forward to, whether it’s Spring Break Camp, Kid’s Night Out, or beloved annual traditions like the Easter Carnival, Spooktacular, Polar Express, and the Family Scavenger Hunt.
These experiences create opportunities for children to reconnect with friends, try something new, and continue exploring the outdoors long after summer ends.
At Palmetto Bluff, growing up means growing outdoors and creating memories that stay forever.
