Many of us have recently been getting creative with our evening social plans. Using apps and video conference services, we’re able to host everything from virtual happy hours and friend catch-up sessions to workouts, game nights, and more. And while these new virtual get-togethers have proven to be amusing, entertaining, and even downright comical, we thought it would be fun to throw in a bit of learning along the way. (Who doesn’t love learning something knew?)
Yes, virtual wine tasting.
For thousands of years, people have made and enjoyed wine. With all that history, why does it still seem so complicated and why do we still get intimidated by wine?
“Wine is meant to be shared with the loved ones in your house right now and virtually with your friends – wherever they might be.” Palmetto Bluff Sommelier and Director of Beverage, Thaddeus Miller, is here to make understanding wine a bit easier with his virtual introduction to wine. The takeaway? The most important thing is understanding your own tastes and preferences and what types of wines you enjoy drinking. “If you like it, it is good. No one should tell you what you like.” Cheers to that!
View our virtual Intro to Wine below. And make sure you check out the entire “Quarantine with the Club” series.
