At Palmetto Bluff, the holidays bring cooler evenings and a full calendar. Porches are decorated for holiday festivities, fireplaces stay lit, and the dining room table makes room for visiting family and friends. The homes that suit this season best are built around those moments. These five homes do exactly that, from a marsh-front home in Moreland Village to a family compound in Headwaters. Each offers its own setting for gathering, whether it’s a fire pit with golf course views, a sitting room tucked beneath a floating staircase, or a charming park just past the front door.

458 Corley Street sits on 0.24 acres in Moreland Village with open views across the marsh. Built in 2023, it pairs Lowcountry architecture with reclaimed and European white oak, antique beams, and custom steelwork. The great room is designed for cooler evenings, with a dramatic concrete fireplace drawing people in and a marsh view that remains throughout the home.
As the holidays arrive, an evening here starts by the fire, moves to the fire pit, and ends on the porch wrapped in blankets under the stars. Gathering with friends and family is always at the center of life here.

14 Thunderstorm Lane is a furnished River Road cottage facing a quaint manicured park. Inside, a floor-to-ceiling shiplap gas fireplace anchors the great room. The chef’s kitchen features Thermador appliances and a farmhouse sink, with a pass-through window to the screened porch.
Designed for effortless indoor-outdoor living, here dinners run long after the park goes dark. The porch is where every gathering seems to begin and end.

Along the May River Golf Course in West Wilson, 58 Blue Willow Street gives guests three places to settle around a fire. JT Turner Construction built the home from a KRA Architects design. Remodeled within the past three years, it comes furnished, with designer wallpaper, rich wood floors, and custom millwork throughout. In the living room, a brick gas fireplace anchors the space beneath detailed woodwork.
As dinner winds down, the evening unfolds around the fire pit, where views of the fairways soften into dusk, and conversation lingers long into the night.

159 Red Ochre Road is designed for gatherings that flow effortlessly from room to room; Residential Concepts Design Group envisioned this home, and JParker Homes built it in 2023, with landscape architecture by Lowcountry Tide Design. Set on a half-acre homesite overlooking one of River Road’s neighborhood parks and bordering the water trail, the home centers around a spacious great room and chef’s kitchen that open to an expansive screened porch.
On a holiday afternoon, some guests gather at the kitchen island while others settle on the porch, and everyone stays within earshot. The whole home works as one gathering place.

Set amid more than 24 acres of marshland and maritime forest, 11 Headwaters Road brings together a main residence, guest house, and carriage house in an estate designed for multigenerational gatherings. Wayne Windham designed the property, and Johnson-Dulaney built it, balancing grand proportions with inviting spaces. Inside the main residence, a soaring two-story great room features exposed beams, reclaimed pine floors, and a striking tabby fireplace.
During the holidays, each household enjoys the privacy of its own retreat before coming together around one table by the fire. With three distinct residences, the estate offers space to spread out and meaningful opportunities to gather.
Each home offers a distinct interpretation of spaces designed to bring people together. Some center around a welcoming fireplace, while others open to expansive porches, neighborhood parks, or the water. The Palmetto Bluff Real Estate Company team can arrange private showings of all five properties and introduce additional homes designed for gathering, entertaining, and making memories in the seasons ahead.
