Known for her uniquely beautiful, well-edited, and functional spaces, Jill Havens from The Haven Design uses timeless design principles and thoughtful space planning in her interior design projects.
Her latest project is the Woodland home, part of the Builder Guild Collection at Palmetto Bluff. Featuring classic Lowcountry architecture with a traditional farmhouse vibe, Jill used a range of blues throughout the home to complement the home’s overall bright interior.
From teal-blue to deep indigo to slate gray-blue, discover how shades of blue bring a calm, coastal feel to this modern farmhouse.

The rustic armoire in the home office gives the room texture and charm. Not just for hiding TVs, armoires are great for storing files and paperwork – helping to keep a room neat and tidy.

Contrasting color can really give a kitchen character. The dark grey island creates a striking-yet-soothing focal point and is a perfect contrast to the white perimeter cabinets. Wicker counter stools add texture and warmth to the room.

The dark blue linen chairs in the dining room are a wonderful contrast to the rustic wood table. Both stylish and functional, they are a good choice because of their durable linen fabric.

The velvet teal bedding gives this bedroom a pop of color, while the quilted pattern adds a charming look and enhances the overall décor.

The cool blues in the double vanities (essential for “his” and “hers” spaces) mixed with the warm wood in the arched mirrors help create a soothing atmosphere in this bathroom. The mounted sconces are a wonderful finishing accent to the space.

The dark gray-blue headboard gives a nice contrast and texture to the bedroom. Very versatile and complementary to any color, this type of bed can be used in traditional or contemporary design.

The embroidered pillows with a touch of indigo go with almost anything and are perfect for adding color and texture to any entry. The textile is a contemporary design but paired with rustic furniture it creates a great first impression.
