The Arts Initiative at Palmetto Bluff hosted an unforgettable evening in the May River Chapel this past October with our visiting Artist in Residence, multi-Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Clay Ross, founding member of the Billboard chart-topping band Ranky Tanky.
The intimate setting, paired with the serene backdrop of the May River, provided the perfect stage for Ross’s unique blend of jazz, soul, and folk-inspired rhythms. Guests were treated to a night of captivating music, personal anecdotes, and interactive moments that had everyone fully engaged and energized.
Ross, a South Carolina native with a rich history of collaborations with artists like Gregory Porter and Snarky Puppy, brought his diverse musical talents to life, creating a powerful connection with audience members. The night was more than just a performance—it was a celebration of culture, music, and the communal spirit, leaving everyone with a lasting, one-of-a-kind experience.
