about Brandon Price

Brandon Price is glass artist and educator based in Savannah, GA. His newest venture, Blown Studios, is quickly becoming the premier source for glass art and instruction in the Southeast. An Ohio native, Brandon’s work is a culmination of his studies and performances in glass studios around the US, where he has worked within private institutions, such as Jacksonville University, the Toledo Museum of Art and Disney’s Magic Kingdom. His work is inspired by traditional Venetian forms with the use of modern color palettes. His work has expanded into sculpting sea life inspired by the Atlantic coastal regions since moving to the Southeast which he now calls home.

Welcome Reception

Moreland Landing | $110

Join Savannah glassblower Brandon Price of Blown Studios as we kick off his Artist in Residency with a welcome reception completely unlike anything we’ve done before. For the first time, Brandon will be moving a furnace and equipment from his studio in Savannah to Palmetto Bluff to create a one-of-a-kind piece and offer live demonstrations in the picturesque Moreland Landing setting.

Barbeque and beverages will be provided, and local bluegrass band Green Levels will provide live music, all while Brandon crafts a special piece of installation art for Palmetto Bluff throughout the course of the evening.

Glassblowing Workshop

The Farm | $175

During this workshop series, Brandon Price from Blown Studios will introduce participants to the ancient art of glassblowing.

The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to the equipment and tools involved in the glass-making process. Each guest will then have the opportunity to create their own unique piece of glass art, choosing from a curated menu designed specifically for this experience. After selecting their design, workshop attendees will choose from an assortment of colors to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. Participants will bring their artwork to life in a one-on-one session with Brandon; learning to melt, sculpt and form molten glass for the first time.

Attendees’ pieces will need to cool in an annealing oven overnight, and will be available for pick up at FLOW Gallery + Workshop the following day.

Attendees should wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
