The fall season is an exciting and magical time for residents at Palmetto Bluff. Whether it’s the splendor of the leaves turning into hues of rust orange and red, or, the way an autumn chill feels on your skin, Palmetto Bluff is the best environment to enjoy all that fall has to offer. The Bluff has many events happening this fall from luxurious dining to art festivals, and everything in between.

One of the most known events at Palmetto Bluff is the Buffalo Run. The 6.2-mile route travels deep within Palmetto Bluff’s historic woodlands and weaves throughout the property. With thousands of acres and miles of river and marsh, outdoor pursuits are a treasured value at Palmetto Bluff.
The Buffalo Run is a trail run like no other. You can choose between a 10K, 30K, or even a 50K mapped out by the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy team. Followed by live entertainment and delicious food and drinks.
The Buffalo Run takes place on December 11, 2022. If you are ready to run around and get to know the Lowcountry like never before, register as soon as possible before spaces fill up!
While at Palmetto Bluff, you can’t leave without experiencing the Lowcountry cuisine. There are a variety of restaurants on the property for our residents to choose from at Palmetto Bluff Club.
Every single meal is special, from breakfast to dinner, offering cuisine that you will never forget. For the evening meals, you’ll want to pair your meal with a delicious fine wine or a creative cocktail prepared by Lowcountry culinary experts.

Palmetto Bluff members can indulge in delicious cuisine where they will have the opportunity to engage with other club members.
The Canoe Club offers river-to-table dining, where you can experience some of the best food that the Lowcountry has to offer, like shrimp, oysters, and other seafood options. The Canoe Club partners with local farms as well to also be farm-to-table with fresh vegetables and meat options.
Cole’s lounge is the perfect place to head after you enjoy a nice meal at the Canoe Club. You can enjoy a refreshing craft beer or have a cocktail handcrafted just for you. Take your drink outside to enjoy the fresh fall atmosphere overlooking the marsh.
If you choose to be a guest at the Montage, there will be endless opportunities to take part in autumnal activities. From art workshops to Thanksgiving weekend, there will always be something to do.
If you love attending guided workshops, then you will definitely want to visit FLOW Gallery + Workshop, just voted the Lowcountry’s Best Gallery in 2022.
From October 5th through the 8th, Artist in Residence Marcus Amaker, Poet Laureate of Charleston, SC will be offering poetry workshops. Marcus is a recipient of the state’s Governor’s Arts Award, as well as an Academy of American Poets fellow. A modern-day Renaissance Man, he’s also an electronic musician, an opera librettist, a graphic designer, and a mentor to students. His poetry has been recognized by The Kennedy Center, The Washington Post, American Poets Magazine, The Washington National Opera, NPR, The Chicago Tribune, and many other publications. Marcus has recorded three albums with a Grammy award-winning drummer and producer and contributed a poem to a Grammy-nominated album. He has written nine books, the latest, Black Music, is now available from Free Verse Press.
