The Artist in Residence program is a collaboration between Garden & Gun and Palmetto Bluff that celebrates the arts, fosters creativity, and offers hands-on education for residents and guests. We’re kicking things off in March with renowned chef, restaurateur, tv personality, and author Maneet Chauhan. Born in Punjab, India, Chauhan worked in some of the country’s top hotels before pursuing a culinary career in the United States. Now residing in Nashville, she is the executive chef and co-owner of Chauhan Ale & Masala House and co-owner of Mantra Artisan Ales. In 2012, Chauhan received a James Beard Award for her role as a judge on the Food Network show Chopped, on which she remains a recurring member of the judges panel.
Guests will join Chauhan for dinner and a cooking lesson, learn how to create their own Indian-inspired “chaat,” and take home a copy of her latest book, Chaat: The Best Recipes from the Kitchens, Markets, and Railways of India.
