Meet Maneet Chauhan, learn more about her craft, and check out her latest cookbook at the Artist Cottage.
Born in Punjab, India, chef Maneet Chauhan worked in some of the country’s top hotels before pursuing a culinary career in the United States. Now residing in Nashville, she is the executive chef and co-owner of Chauhan Ale & Masala House and co-owner of Mantra Artisan Ales. In 2012, Chauhan received a James Beard Award for her role as a judge on the Food Network show Chopped, on which she remains a recurring member of the judges panel. Maneet is also the author of two cookbooks, Flavors of My World, and Chaat: The Best Recipes from the Kitchens, Markets, and Railways of India, which was released in October 2020.

In the Artist Cottage, guests will gather for a special dinner and cooking lesson with chef Maneet Chauhan. After sharing tips and tricks for creating delicious Indian cuisine at home, Maneet will serve a collection of signature dishes including bread pakora with mint cilantro chutney, peanut chaat, chungdi malai (coconut shrimp curry), curd rice, and gajar halwa.

Inspired by a recipe in her latest cookbook, Chaat, chef Maneet will lead guests through the creation of their own Indian-inspired snack bowls, or “chaat.” Pre-set stations will offer a slew of ingredients and spices for guests to make Tamarind Chutney, Cilantro-Mint Chutney, Green Chile Chutney, and have their own chaat party with Maneet.
A copy of Maneet’s new book, Chaat: The Best Recipes from the Kitchens, Markets, and Railways of India, is included with admission.
