Inspiration Comes From Within
Art is central to the Palmetto Bluff experience, and no one represents this more fully than Artists of the Bluff. Created in 2018 by Palmetto Bluff Members Karen Dale, Nancy Dwight and Chappy Bailey, Artists of the Bluff is a community of over twenty professional painters, photographers, potters, and jewelers who live in one of coastal South Carolina’s most captivating communities, Palmetto Bluff. Artists of the Bluff was organized to provide members, who are accomplished and recognized artists, the opportunity to come together in their home environment and create an atmosphere in which to share their art and connect with artists and art lovers from both inside and outside the community.

A Curated Selection of Artists Deeply Rooted in the Palmetto Bluff Landscape
The Arts Initiative at Palmetto Bluff, which was launched in 2022, already had a tremendous foundation because of the years of dedication and groundwork that was established by Artists of the Bluff. Together The Arts Initiative and Artists of the Bluff strive towards the same goal of stories worth telling, voices worth hearing, and places worth exploring through our mutual vision of enriching and inspiring lives at Palmetto Bluff through art, in all its forms.
Connecting Conservancy and the Arts
Fitting to the community’s guiding principles, The Arts Initiative has reconnected the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy and the Arts. In addition to education and programming, the Conservancy’s Arts Commission, which was established in the first decade of Palmetto Bluff’s development, sourced and raised a portion of the money for the public art that dots the community.
As much of Artists of the Bluff’s work draws from the inspirational surroundings of the community so appropriately, a portion of each sale is donated to the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy.

The Artists of the Bluff hosts two art shows annually, a spring show in April and a fall show in November. The Spring show will be held at FLOW Gallery and Boathouse Lawn in Wilson Village, and the fall show will be held at The Boundary in Moreland Village.

The Artists of the Bluff Spring Show was held on on April 15, 2023 at FLOW Gallery + Workshop & the Autumn Show will take place on November 11, 2023 at The Boundary in Moreland Village! The show will feature new work from over twenty artists and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy.
