The Arts Initiative at Palmetto Bluff kicked off in style with our 2022 FLOW FEST. A celebration of art in all its forms, the afternoon event in May featured the work of 20 southern artisans set to a stunning backdrop of live music from Natty Grass and Town Mountain, great food, and fun for all ages. A percentage of proceeds will benefit the Society of Bluffton Artists.

The Arts Initiative at Palmetto Bluff is proud to present a reimagined Field + Fire: The Art of Play & Palate. This year, in addition to sporting classics we’re welcoming James Beard award-winning chefs, iconic winemakers, and a collection of Southern artisans to take Field + Fire to the next level. This festival will unfold at various Palmetto Bluff venues, set to a spirited soundtrack of live music–including a concert with music icon Drive-By Truckers.

The Arts Initiative at Palmetto Bluff presents a gallery show by the late, widely acclaimed artist, Matt Baumgardner. Since 1978, Baumgardner’s paintings, drawings, and sculptures have been exhibited in internationally recognized galleries and in 1993 he received a $20,000 fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. His work has received favorable notices in publications including The New York Times and The New Yorker. Since his passing in 2018, Baumgardner's archives have been studied, documented, and curated by the Furman University Art Department as reflected in the website BaumgardnerArchives.com. This impressive collection of his work will be available for purchase at FLOW Gallery + Workshop during the exhibition.

Now proudly hosted at FLOW Gallery + Workshop, The Artists of Palmetto Bluff 2022 Autumn Show will feature new work from over twenty artists while guests enjoy beverages in the gallery courtyard on a beautiful fall day at the Bluff. A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Palmetto Bluff conservancy.
