Down towards the southern end of Palmetto Bluff, Oak Island was an 18th and 19th century plantation. Following the Civil War, freed people made their homes in the Oak Island area. Join Palmetto Bluff Archaeologist, Katie Epps, as she tells us the story of this area of the Bluff.
