Meet John Hooper, the Project Manager. Originally hailing from the bustling cityscape of New Jersey, John’s journey to Palmetto Bluff began when he worked for a different builder. His incredible tenacity and meticulous attention to detail quickly caught our attention, and we knew we had to have him on our team. Beyond the construction site, John finds solace and joy on the golf course.
Zach Hribar, the Construction Engineer, is a perfectionist at heart. Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Zach moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in 2005. After graduating from Coastal Carolina University, he and his wife, Aleesha, made their way to the Bluffton area in 2020. Zach’s career journey includes stints in commercial roofing and residential construction before he joined Palmetto Bluff Builders in November 2022. When he’s not meticulously overseeing projects, Zach enjoys beach days, attending sporting events, and traveling with Aleesha.
The newest team member, Ed Johnson, has a wide range of construction experience and is a proud native of Palmetto Bluff. Ed’s journey began in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, and he later served as a Residential Building Inspector for the City of Hardeeville. He also worked as a Framing Superintendent for Pulte Homes/ICG and served as a Superintendent at Village Park Homes/Dream Finders. Ed’s educational background includes graduation from Jasper County High School, and he holds the distinction of being a Certified Residential Building Inspector through the ICC (International Code Council). Ed is not just a skilled builder but also a devoted dad, and his expertise is a valuable addition to our team.
Vice President of Home Building, Jason Kimes, brings a wealth of experience to the team. With over 30 years in the industry, primarily in Florida, he was the driving force behind a company that successfully handled 400 homes in a year. Notably, Jason played a pivotal role in the construction of custom one-off homes in the picturesque Ponte Vedra Beach. Throughout his dynamic career, Jason has displayed a penchant for entrepreneurship, initiating and overseeing the launch of multiple successful businesses. His wide range of expertise, coupled with his entrepreneurial spirit, is a key asset to our team. Over the past two years at Palmetto Bluff, he’s developed a deep appreciation for the unique charm of the Lowcountry.
In 2021, Stephanie Gentemann seamlessly integrated her talents into the Palmetto Bluff team, collaborating closely with Palmetto Bluff Builders and the marketing team.
