Palmetto Bluff Conservancy supporters and property owners recently braved an unseasonably chilly evening for the highly anticipated annual Burn Dinner. Guests stayed warm by cozy firepits and a roaring bonfire, courtesy of the Conservancy, which symbolized the beginning of the Conservancy’s prescribed fire management season in January. The Palmetto Bluff Club culinary team cooked on open flames to prepare a delicious menu, while Lowcountry Boil delivered a Southern soundtrack perfectly suited for a field party.
The Burn Dinner is the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy’s largest annual fundraiser. It raises funds to support the Conservancy’s mission to conserve the natural and cultural resources at Palmetto Bluff for its members and the general public. Through land management, research, and education, the Conservancy team diligently works to ensure that Palmetto Bluff’s vision
of conservation remains intact.
