Festive Events At Palmetto Bluff

Written by Palmetto Bluff

The Haunting of Palmetto Bluff | October 27

Venture deep into the woods of the Bluff, where echoes of the past are lurking in the shadows. Embark on a spine-chilling journey to explore legends and step beyond the veil of the living and the dead. Will you leave with memories of those lost, or will you become a part of the story?

In collaboration with SCADpro, the Palmetto Bluff Club is hosting a haunted hayride on Friday, October 27th, from 7-11pm at the Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club. Open to all for a spooktacular time, Palmetto Bluff Club members can make reservations through the member website; visitors of Palmetto Bluff can click here for reservations.

May River Classic Horse Show | November 11

Hosted at the Longfield Stables, the May River Classic Horse Show will feature riding competitions among multiple disciplines and feature a special ceremony to honor our veterans. These main events include a Hunter Derby, Mini Prix, and Leadline and Veterans Ceremony with the singing of the national anthem. Palmetto Bluff Club members can enjoy a VIP area offering tables of eight or individual tickets to include a glass of complimentary sparkling wine, a curated menu of breakfast and lunch offerings as well as tableside bar service during the show’s main events.

Artist in Residence | November 15 – 18 & December 6 – 9

The husband and wife duo of Burls & Steel will be visiting Palmetto Bluff in mid November to forge handmade knives with Artist in Residence workshop participants. They love creating works that can be used on a daily basis, but that are also one-of-a-kind works of art.  From kitchen to outdoors knives, Burls & Steel have something for every aspiring home chef or hunter.

Coming in early December, Cacky Rivers was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and considers herself a true Lowcountry “salty” girl. Her father greatly impacted her love of wildlife, nature, and birds. Recently, Cacky took up wildlife photography and has yet to look back. Not only is this a true passion for her, but she also enjoys learning and sharing her knowledge of birds with others.

Conservancy Pop-Up Shops | November 17 & 20

For those interested in supporting the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy, visit the Conservancy Classroom in Moreland Village on Friday, November 17th, and Monday, November 20th, from 9am – 2pm for a Conservancy Pop-Up Shop. The classroom will be a one-stop shop for Conservancy apparel, including t-shirts, hats, copies of A Guide to the History of Palmetto Bluff written by Dr. Socci, and more!

Sip & Savour | November 18

Palmetto Bluff Club members twenty-one and over are invited to experience a wine and spirits tasting featuring 50+ wines, Bulrush Gin, and a unique collaboration with Michter’s Bourbon. As you tend to your drink, watch our talented team of Palmetto Bluff chefs compete in the ultimate challenge for the best dish.

Palmetto Bluff Farmers Markets | November 8 & 29 & December 17

Celebrate the taste and bounty of the Lowcountry at the Palmetto Bluff Farmers Market! Hosted at the Palmetto Bluff Farm, the market showcases diverse offerings of the Bluff’s own homegrown produce and bread and bakery items from the culinary team at the Palmetto Bluff Club. Each market features a rotating selection of area farmers, local growers, and artisans in partnership with Lowcountry Made and health and fitness offerings from Palmetto Bluff’s wellness team.

The remaining 2023 Palmetto Bluff Farmers Markets will be held on Wednesday, November 8, and Wednesday, November 29. On Sunday, December 17, the market moves to the Village Green in Wilson Village for an extra festive market with holiday offerings from local artisans, live music, and brunch with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Buy last-minute gifts for family and friends, taste festive creations, and even submit last-minute holiday wishes in a letter to Santa.
