North Carolina native Elisabeth Connolly, founder and CEO of the lifestyle brands Elisabeth Rose and Aesthet, joined us in the Artist Cottage December 6 – 10 for the final Artist in Residency of 2021. This workshop began with a lesson on scent pairings, focusing on how the sense of smell can create memories of specific people, places, or experiences. Elisabeth then discussed the basics of candle mixology, including the basic dos and don’ts of pouring. Using some of Elisabeth’s most popular formulas, guests created their own scents and poured five to six custom candles.
