Our first artist of the year, celebrity chef and tv personality Maneet Chauhan, kicked off our 2021 Artist in Residence program with her stay in the Artist Cottage last week.

Born in Punjab, India, chef Maneet Chauhan worked in some of the country’s top hotels before pursuing a culinary career in the United States. Now residing in Nashville, she is the executive chef and co-owner of Chauhan Ale & Masala House and co-owner of Mantra Artisan Ales. In 2012, Maneet received a James Beard Award for her role as a judge on the Food Network show Chopped, on which she remains a recurring member of the judges panel.

The week began with a Meet + Greet, gallery hours each morning, plus some one-on-one time with Maneet as she prepared dinner for guests during Wednesday night's workshop and then prepared a delicious chaat party for Friday afternoon's event.

Pre-set stations offered a slew of ingredients and spices for guests to make tamarind chutney, cilantro-mint chutney, green chile chutney, all under the instruction of Maneet.

Check out the recap of Maneet's stay below.
