On September 13, we are excited to welcome our next Artist in Residence to Palmetto Bluff. Quintin Middleton is the artisan behind the Middleton Made Knives, a line of bespoke tools crafted in the rural town of Saint Stephen, South Carolina. Over the last decade, Middleton has earned a reputation as one of the South's premier culinary bladesmiths, hand-forging knives for acclaimed chefs including Sean Brock, Michael Anthony, and Mike Lata.

Following an apprenticeship with legendary bladesmith Jason Knight, Middleton transitioned to creating culinary knives, and a group of Charleston's top chefs were among his first clients.

In 2010, he founded his brand, Middleton Made Knives, now regarded for some of the finest knife work in the country. Purchase tickets to Quintin Middleton's events and learn more about his craft.

Stay for a little or stay for a lifetime.

From charming rooms, suites and cottages at Montage Palmetto Bluff to majestic homes in Wilson and Moreland villages that pay homage to the region’s rich heritage, all it takes is a short stay to create the stories that last a lifetime.
