It’s all in the details

Small Living, Big Appeal. The Retreat floor plan is wider than it is deep to create direct adjacencies to nature.

Modern Farmhouse. Boasting a relaxed farmhouse vibe with modern touches including board and batten siding, a metal roof and clean lines that add to the exterior, inside, shiplap walls, oversized windows and glass doors provide the perfect setting for entertaining guests and leisure activities.

Raised Foundation. The raised foundation is based on historic Southern building principles and allows for better views and the capture of breezes.

Garage/Carriage House Option. Forward placement of the garage/carriage house allows for maximum front-to-back views while also providing visitors with complete privacy.

Rear Screened Porch. Large glass doors make the rear screened porch an extension of the main living areas, complete with an outdoor kitchen and additional living space.

A Kitchen for Company. Ideal for entertaining, the kitchen boasts ample counter space for cooking, serving and enjoying others’ company.

Space to Unwind. With an oversized soaking tub, the primary bath invites relaxation and restoration. The primary bedroom, complete with a walk-in closet and en suite, ensures privacy with a view of the surrounding area.

Natural Surroundings. Native shrubs along property lines create privacy while an entertainment area acts as an extension of the indoor space with a firepit and dock.

Architect Note

“For the Retreat, I wanted to develop a plan that could be easily adapted to varying lot configurations and client program needs while creating an aesthetic that was comfortable and reflective of the American farmhouse. The Retreat incorporates board and batten siding, a metal roof, welcoming porches and an open interior floor plan to give it a relaxed feel within a modern setting.”
