Three Iconic Courses
Inviting fairways, magnificent views, and waterfront play—Palmetto Bluff currently offers two iconic courses: the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed May River Golf Course and the new reversible nine-hole Crossroads by King-Collins. A third 18-hole championship course by visionaries Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw of Coore-Crenshaw is now taking shape.
THE COURSE THAT JACK BUILT
The May River Golf Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, offers 18 challenging holes in the picturesque May River Forest neighborhood. With its eco-friendly Paspalum turf and stunning river views, it has been recognized as one of the best courses in South Carolina. In partnership with the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy, Audubon International has also certified the course as a cooperative sanctuary for wildlife and habitat management.
REDEFINING GOLF AT THE BLUFF
Palmetto Bluff’s Crossroads is a reversible nine-hole golf course designed by King-Collins, offering limitless shot-making possibilities. It’s designed for match play, with two routings named The Hammer and The Press, providing a thrilling end to every round. The course features stunning dune ridges reaching up to 40 feet in height and elevation changes of +/- 10 feet.
AN EPIC COURSE IS EMERGING
A new 18-hole course, crafted by renowned golf architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, is currently under construction and slated to open in Winter 2025/2026. The course will seamlessly integrate with the Lowcountry’s natural beauty, deliberately excluding any residential development. It aspires to deliver a unique and unforgettable golfing adventure, paying homage to the area’s storied golfing tradition.
