      8 a.m. Registration | 9 - 11:30 a.m. | Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club | $175

      This 100-target, 13-station sporting clay competition is for all levels of shooters and benefits the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy. Following the Buffalo Blast, enjoy trick shooting demonstrations. Includes one ticket to the Buffalo Blast Beer 'n Brats dinner. Shells will be supplied.

      Teams are comprised of four members. Singles will be paired accordingly. This event is for guests 21 and over only.

      4:30 - 7 p.m. | Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club | $75

      Shooters and non-shooters alike are welcome at this casual event celebrating the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy and its mission of conserving and protecting the natural and historical gems of the Lowcountry. Enjoy great beer, brats, music, and camaraderie as awards are handed out to the winning teams of the Buffalo Blast.

    • Field + Fire Market Preview and Open Fire Dinner

      4 - 6 p.m. Market Preview | 6 - 8 p.m. Open Fire Dinner | River House | $125

      Get an exclusive preview to the Field + Fire Market, then kick off the weekend with our Open Fire Dinner. Dinner cooked over open flames warms our souls and our hearts. Join our guest chef Johnny Spero on the May River Lawn for this interactive shopping and dining experience. This event is for guests 21 and over only.

    • Falconry Expedition

      8 - 10 a.m. | 2 - 4 p.m. | Meet at River House | $250

      A lucky few will set out into the forests of the Bluff with Handlers Adam & Steve Hein, who, along with his trained dogs and falcon, will hunt pheasant. Watch the dogs point, then flush the pheasant. Rather than pull a trigger, Steve will release the falcon, and when the pheasant drops, the dogs retrieve to hand. It's truly a once in a lifetime experience. This event is for guests 21 and over only.

      11 a.m. - 4 p.m. | River House | $100

      Artisans. Birds. Bourbon. Callers. Dogs. Fly Casting. As the social hub of Field + Fire, the Field + Fire Market is a curated collection of Southern artisans offering sporting apparel, art, jewelry, specialty outdoor gear, high-end shotguns and saddles. In addition to items offered at the Market, the Weekend Market Pass includes demonstrations and lectures by well-known sporting personalities including retriever and birds of prey exhibitions, fly casting lessons, a cemetery walk with our archaeologist, and more – all mixed with some of the Bluff's favorite food traditions and set to the sounds of live music by Chatham Rabbits, Lowcountry Boil, and Whitley Deputy.

      This pass will grant entry to both Saturday and Sunday. This event is for guests 21 and over only.

      Join Brett Lawson of TBL Retrievers for a retriever demonstration to kick off the Saturday Field + Fire Market exhibitions on the Village Green.

    • Birds of Prey Exhibition

      1 to 2 p.m. | Village Green | Included in Market Pass

      Discover the birds of prey that are indigenous to the South Carolina Lowcountry with Dr. Steve Hein, who will also discuss local raptor habitats and more.

    • Fly Castings Lessons

      2 to 3 p.m. | Village Green | Included in the Market Pass

      Join Southern Drawl Outfitters and Fuzzy Davis as they teach beginners how to cast a fly rod and experienced anglers how to tighten up their cast. They'll have a wide variety of fly rods for you to test drive as you hone your skills in the art of fly casting.

    • Five Stand Tournament

      1 - 3 p.m. | Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club | $75

      Our five-stand tournament is a condensed, quicker version of a traditional sporting clay course. Each shooter shoots 25 targets from five different locations. Targets consist of singles, report pairs, and true pairs. This will be an individual competition. This event is for guests 21 and over only..

      Join Southern Drawl to learn how to tie your own flies while enjoying a frosty beverage (or a fine wine).

    • Talkin' to Animals

      3 to 3:30 p.m. | May River Lawn | Included in the Market Pass

      Palmetto Bluff Conservancy Director Jay Walea and his team of naturalists will demonstrate some of their tricks to calling in game animals. From ducks to turkeys to bucks, Jay knows all the right sounds to court hunting game of the Lowcountry.

    • Bourbon and Birds Dinner

      6:30 - 11 p.m. | Moreland Crossroads | $400

      Join guest chef Adam Evans (whose Birmingham restaurant Automatic Seafood and Oysters was recently named “Best New Restaurant in America” by Esquire) and mixologist and Garden to Glass author Mike Wolf for an elegant five-course dinner that will feature fresh game paired with bourbon and wine. We'll dine al fresco in the field, warmed by fire (and some modern technology), conversation, camaraderie, and sweet melodies. Dinner will finish with an intimate concert courtesy of Jamestown Revival. This is one field dinner you won't want to miss. This event is for guests 21 and over only.

    • Cemetery Walk with Dr. Mary Socci

      10 - 11 a.m. | Village Green | Included in the Market Pass

      Walk the Village Green and surrounding area with Palmetto Bluff Conservancy Archaeologist Dr. Mary Socci. Dr. Socci will detail the history of Palmetto Bluff and the Wilson Family and all the interesting and unique sites around the Village Green, including a few pet cemeteries.

    • Lowcountry Fox Hunt Exhibition + Brunch

      10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. | Longfield Cross Country Field | $125

      Feel the thrill of the chase as you watch professional fox hunters model the pomp and pageantry of a traditional hunt. From the center of our cross-country course on the Longfield Stables complex, watch riders demonstrate a traditional drag hunt. Fox hunting is the only form of hunting that incorporates the complex relationship of three beings - that of human, horse and hound. Lowcountry Hunt huntsman, Tony Gammell, will speak about the history of fox hunting and give a few examples of some of the different horn blows that are used to communicate with the hounds and staff during the hunt. The hunt will be followed by brunch and a chance to interact with our hunters. This event is for guests 21 and over only.

    • "First Date" Ladies Shooting School

      1 - 3 p.m. | Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club | $250

      The Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club has tailored a school just for women who are new to the world of shooting clays, or who are interested in trying it out for the first time. The school's certified instructors will provide everything you'll need for a comfortable and exciting "first date" with marksmanship. But be warned -- you'll likely get hooked. This event is for guests 21 and over only.
