Event Questions

Q: Where is the event?

A. Wilson Village Lawn | 19 Village Park Square, Bluffton, SC 29910

Q: When and what time is the event?

A: Saturday, February 25 | Cocktails: 6pm, Dinner: 6:45pm, Live Auction: 8:00pm, Preservation Hall Jazz Band: 8:30pm

Q: What is the attire for the evening?

A: Fun cocktail attire. Tie Optional. Please be mindful that the event is on the grass. There is a dance floor. While under a heated tent, it is still outside and in February. We ask that you avoid wearing stiletto heels and opt for block heels instead.

Q: Will I need a pass at the Palmetto Bluff front gate?

A: No. Simply let the greeter know you are going to The Art of Community Gala + Auction.

Q: Where do I park?

A: Parking will be available at RT’s Market. Trolleys will be available from RT’s Market to the event entrance.

Q: Will tickets be available for purchase at the event entrance?

A: No. Apologies but we are at capacity.

Q: How will I get my tickets?

A: You will NOT need to print tickets for the event. If you purchased tickets to the event, your name will be at the Gala entrance. If you purchased tickets for guests, please email their names to arts@palmettobluff.com to be included on the guest list.

Q: Will there be seating?

A: Yes, attendees received an email containing a guest update link where seating requests can be made. Seating requests should be made in the notes section of the update link.

Q: How many seats are at a table?

A: There will be ten seats at each table.

Q: Are attendees under 21 able to attend the event?

A: No, the event is for 21+ only. Babies in baby carriers are not allowed.

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: We do love dogs; however, they are not allowed.

Q: Will there be live music?

A: Preservation Hall Jazz Band will perform at approximately 8:30pm.

Q: Are there refunds?

A: All tickets are non-refundable but can be exchanged or given to friends or family. If you exchange your tickets with family or friends, please notify us via email at arts@palmettobluff.com with their names.

Q: What if it rains?

A: The event is rain or shine.

Q: Can I bring my own food and drink?

A: No outside food and drink are allowed at the event.


Live Auction Questions

Q: Will I be registered to bid in the live auction if tickets were purchased under my name?

A: We encourage anyone that plans to participate in the live auction to register with Clickbid beforehand. Please register here.

Q: Will I be registered to bid in the live auction if I am a guest of a ticket purchaser?

A: We encourage anyone that plans to participate in the live auction to register with Clickbid beforehand. Please register here.

Q: Will the live auction be available for preview at the event?

A: A: Yes, the live auction is available for preview online here and at the event starting at 6pm.

Q: How do I pay for my auction package if I win? What form of payment is accepted?

A: Auction winners must check out before departing the event. Auction attendees will be available to take your payment via the credit card on file with ClickBid, or you may pay with a check. The Palmetto Bluff auction team must receive your payment before distributing your item(s) to you.

Q: Where do I pick up my auction package if I win?

A: You can pick up your auction item the night of the Gala at check-out, or you may pick it up on Monday, February 27, at FLOW Gallery + Workshop between 10am and 5pm. All winners must notify an auction team member on Saturday evening how they would like to pick up their item.

Q: Is my auction package tax deductible?

A: Individuals who win an auction package may claim a charitable contribution deduction for the excess of the purchase price paid for an item over its fair market value. The individual must be able to show, however, that he or she knew that the value of the item was less than the amount paid.

Q: Will I receive a receipt?

A: Yes, you will receive a tax receipt for your auction item via mail following the event.


Silent Auction Questions

Q: Where can I preview the silent auction?

A: You can preview the silent auction online here or in person at FLOW Gallery + Workshop from Monday, February 20 at 10am through Saturday, February 25 at 6pm.

Q: Will the silent auction be available for preview at the Gala?

A: No. The silent auction will be available for preview online and at FLOW Gallery + Workshop from Monday, February 20 at 10am through Saturday, February 25 at 6pm.

Q: When does the bidding start for the silent auction?

A: Thursday, February 23 at 9am.

Q: When does bidding end for the silent auction?

A: Saturday, February 25 at 7:30pm.

Q: How do I pay for my item if I win?

A: The credit card on file will be charged if you win silent auction items.

Q: Where do I pick up my auction package if I win?

A: Your auction will be available for pick up at FLOW Gallery + Workshop beginning Monday, February 27, between 10am and 5pm.

Q: Is my auction package tax deductible?

Golf Tournament Questions

Q: What style of tournament is this?

A: A shamble style tournament with a shotgun start.

Q: Will there be a mulligan offer?

A: Yes, you can purchase a mulligan for $25 cash at registration and all proceeds will be donated to the beneficiaries. You cannot use the mulligan on hole #14

Q: What time is registration?

A: Registration begins at 8:30am

Q: Will I be able to warm up on the driving range?

A: Yes

Q: How many people per team?

A: Foursome teams

Q: Will I have a golf cart?

A: Yes, a golf cart will be provided for your team

Q: Is there a dress code?

A: No jeans allowed. Golf attire required.

Q: What do I do when I finish my round?

A: There will be a post-tournament mixer at May River Grill.

Q: Will there be refreshments along the course?

A: Yes, Hole #14 will be activated with Flights and Bites by Wheels UP, and Hole #6 comfort station will provide refreshments.
