JOB SUMMARY:

The Events Marketing Manager at Palmetto Bluff joins a team of creative, results-driven professionals to help advance our core business lines including:

  • Palmetto Bluff Brand – promotion of the overall Palmetto Bluff brand including integration throughout all departments.
  • Palmetto Bluff Real Estate Marketing – promotion of developer and brokerage real estate to members, prospects and media via strategic events.
  • Palmetto Bluff Club Member benefits – Strategic events and partnership projects that supports The Club and benefits membership.
  • Palmetto Bluff Conservancy – support fundraising opportunities and enhance the value of the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy.

The Events Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and work in collaboration with the Marketing Manager to plan, budget, lead and execute community programming and events, our Artists Collective program and gallery, strategic partner relationships, and fundraising initiatives. The fast-paced work environment requires a multi-tasker with top-notch written and oral communication skills, a friendly, outgoing demeanor, and a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, superb interpersonal skills, and excellent time-management skills. Proven event experience and strict attention to detail is required. This role will involve working closely with Palmetto Bluff’s Broker-in-Charge, Palmetto Bluff Club’s General Manager, as well as the many Club Directors, sales team, resort and club event managers and coordinators, Chefs, Maintenance and the entire marketing and sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

With the Marketing Manager, provide strategic input for the Palmetto Bluff Artists Collective. Oversee the execution of the Palmetto Bluff Artists Collective including the Artist in Residence program, community outreach events (pop-ups, makers markets, speaker series) as well as manage art gallery.

Artist in Residence:

  • Manage calendar of artists each year for the Artist in Residence program and work with each artist on their visit including itineraries, workshops, meet and greets and overall logistics of their stay.
  • Communicate details to the Marketing Manager and support marketing effort for content, photography, social and pr.
  • Manage budget of Artist in Residence program and reconcile all billing.
  • Communicate with resort and club on upcoming artists and ensure marketing materials are provided to help support the program.
  • Manage BEOs for all events with resort and club as well as outside vendors when necessary.
  • Nurture the program by providing feedback and areas of improvement to processes and program structure.

Community Events:

  • Manage planning, budgeting and execution of all community event under Artist Collective program including makers markets, art walks, gallery open houses, art shows etc.
  • Work with artists on all details of event and provide marketing assets to Marketing Manager for promotion.
  • Manage budgets and reconcile billing.
  • Manage BEOs for all events with resort and club as well as outside vendors when necessary.
  • Host PR when applicable at events.

Art Gallery:

  • Oversee the art gallery operations that support the Artist Collective initiative.
  • Ensure proper hours are followed and staffing is appropriate.
  • Work with artists on art and materials that will be sold and ensure inventory is appropriate at all times.
  • Maintain accounting for all sales and reconcile payments to artists.
  • Manage lease and utilities for art gallery space and ensure all is presentable for public.
  • Manage signage and ensure Marketing Manager has all assets needs to market the program efficiently and effectively.

Assist with one-off strategic onsite events and experiential programming as assigned or approved by the Director of Marketing. Provide strategy, high-level project planning, budgets, and other deliverables as appropriate. Oversee and approve itineraries, action items, assignments, timelines, critical paths, and execution. Oversee, on behalf of marketing, to ensure each event offers the opportunity to learn more about real estate and membership opportunities. Events include but are not limited to: Buffalo Run, Race the Rivers, Concert Series and Field + Fire.

  • Support Marketing Manager for all marketing tasks related to, but not limited to, community relations, events, content creation, and internal communications
  • Manage strategic partner relationships, communication, and recruitment as it relates to event sponsors. Network as appropriate and secure sponsorship opportunities for events as needed. Nurture partnerships and assist with marketing opportunities.
  • Participate in public relations initiatives and provide ideas to generate earned media opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the marketing image asset database, keeping up to date folders of select images that represent a culmination of events/community images.
  • Understand marketing strategy and lead generation plans with targets, measures, and objectives and apply to event planning and KPIs.
  • Manage data, attendees, mailing lists, and reports within the CRM tool.
  • Meet regularly with team to review projects, progress, and budget accountability.
  • Prepare project reports as needed for the Leadership Team and Ownership. Prepare materials in advance of company meetings, business development activities, board meetings or client/project meetings.
  • Contribute to the team effort in providing high quality, professional and friendly servant leadership to members, employees, management team, prospects, vendors and clients; cooperate with staff throughout the company and develop productive, strong relationships while maintaining confidentiality on relevant matters.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years Marketing, Event Marketing, Project Management experience at an executive level in a mid-size company
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Real Estate, Club and Hospitality businesses preferred
  • Assertive and exceptionally organized with the ability to multi-task to keep projects on track.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to budgets, detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced work environment with many demands.
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality as needed.
  • Strong technology use skills (Propertybase, Hubspot, Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365, etc.)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to talk and hear.
  • The associate is required to walk, carry, sit, and occasionally is required to stand.
  • The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 35 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderately quiet to high volume entertainment.
