STRETCH YOUR SUMMER
The Sandbar
Appearing once a day on receding tides, the May River Sandbar is a special kind of beach. Scrubbed and scoured by Mother Nature, it is all the more rare because its time in the sun is fleeting and access is only by boat. Perhaps this explains the Sandbar's "place-to-be" popularity with guests, residents and locals. On a sunny day, you'll find a wonderfully eclectic mix of families and couples relaxing on this tiny bit of nature's perfection for a fleeting moment–all hoping to stretch summer just a little longer.
Daufuskie Island
Featured in novels and in the hearts of long-time residents, Daufuskie is a barrier island with fine beaches and island charm. Captains take groups over to the island in Palmetto Bluff's sport craft. The 45 minute boat ride is as pleasant as the time in the surf.
Hilton Head Beaches
Hilton Head's beaches are world known for long, long stretches of sand and all the coastal things to do from biking, skim boarding and just beach combing.Â
